Privacy policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
Logger is a time, kilometre and invoicing app operated by Talva (talva.is). This policy explains what personal data Logger keeps, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to logger@talva.is.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Microsoft, the name and email address that provider shares with us. If you use a password, it is stored only as a secure hash.
- What you enter: time entries, kilometre logs, clients (names, addresses, kennitala, emails), invoices and your profile and settings.
- Technical data: sign-in sessions and the logs our hosting providers keep to run and secure the service.
Logger does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
Signing in with Google or Microsoft
When you choose "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Microsoft", we only ask for your basic profile: name, email address and an account identifier. We use it solely to create your Logger account and sign you in. We do not read your email, files, contacts or calendar, and we never sell or share this information or use it for advertising.
Logger's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use your data
- To run your account and show you your own entries, clients and invoices.
- To generate invoices and, when you ask it to, email them to your clients.
- To keep the service secure, back it up and fix problems.
Each user only sees their own data. We do not sell personal data.
Who processes it
- Supabase stores the database and handles sign-in.
- Netlify hosts the website and its server functions.
- Resend delivers invoice emails you choose to send.
- Google and Microsoft, only if you sign in with them.
Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. Issued invoices may have to be kept for the period required by Icelandic bookkeeping law even after you close your account. Backups roll off automatically.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Icelandic Act no. 90/2018 you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how it is used. Email logger@talva.is. You can also complain to Persónuvernd (personuvernd.is). If you signed in with Google or Microsoft, you can remove Logger's access at any time from that account's security settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Significant changes are announced in the app.
